RIMADYL (pronounced “Rim-a-dill”) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) approved by the FDA for once- or twice-daily dosing to relieve the pain and inflammation in the joints of dogs with arthritis.
Pain medications that help manage arthritis pain in people — like aspirin — can be toxic to dogs. That’s why we developed RIMADYL (carprofen). Since 1996, more than 24 million dogs have been successfully treated with RIMADYL, making it the #1 osteoarthritis medication prescribed by veterinarians. In fact, more dogs have been treated with RIMADYL than all other canine NSAIDs combined!
If your dog suffers from arthritis, trust RIMADYL to provide relief from the pain and inflammation — so you and your dog can enjoy spending time together again!
Before using RIMADYL, be sure to read this Important Safety Information.
"When I first started having trouble getting up in the morning and couldn’t climb onto the sofa without help, I was worried. Fortunately, there’s an arthritis pain medication made just for dogs. My owners asked my vet to prescribe RIMADYL. Now, my pain is gone, and I’m more active than I have been in a long time."

Unfortunately, dogs can’t tell us where or when it hurts, so sometimes it can be difficult to know when your dog has arthritis and is in pain. The key is to look for a change in your dog’s behavior.
